Sunday Club Ride – Intermediate ‘Long’ 2 of 6
Time: Ready to ride at 8:30am
Location: Julie Rose Stadium
Cycle Lead: Blaine Epsley
Rider Level: Intermediate – Should be able to ride the distance at around 15mph. Finishing the ride around 12:00 in 3h30mins.
Session Details: Ever wanted to ride 100 miles but never felt you could go the distance? Or maybe you just need to start increasing the mileage to get fit for the summer season ahead. Once a month we will be holding an intermediates ‘Long’ ride with a goal of increasing the mileage on each ride to build up to 100 miles in time for the local 100 mile Great Kent sportive (June).

  • There will be 5 of these rides in preparation to conclude with the 6th which will be the sportive itself, breaking down to roughly, 40/50/65/75/85/100 miles.
  • A sportive is not about racing, it’s about completing the distance, and enjoying every bit of it with a great group of team mates. For this reason a coffee stop will still feature in these ‘Long’ rides, Riders should be aiming to average a minimum of 15mph.
  • ‘Long’ Ride 2 – 52 miles: https://www.strava.com/routes/10688814
  • With a stop at the woolpack inn, Warehorne.
  • Please note the earlier start time due to the longer distance.

All riders must wear a cycle helmet. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a drink, equipment to mend a puncture and a pump.
