Ashford Tri Club turned out in force last Saturday to support Folkestone Parkrun with a Takeover! Delivering a lively morning of running and community spirit.
Alongside volunteering duties, several club members also stepped in as pacers, helping runners hit their targets and keep the momentum going around the course.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event, rounded off in fitting fashion with plenty of cake shared among participants.
The club would like to thank everyone who came along to run with them. With such a strong selection of Parkruns across East Kent, it was a great opportunity to build on the success of last year’s Ashford Parkrun takeover and connect with the wider running community.
For those inspired by the experience and looking for their next challenge, the Hythe Bay Triathlon offers an excellent step up. The event includes a 5km run, along with a swim at Hythe Pool and a cycle route through Hythe and Folkestone.
As an added bonus, entry to the triathlon includes a year’s free membership to Ashford Tri Club.
